Pottery
There are many stages to making a Completely Hand Made piece of Pottery. The process can take about 3-6 weeks or more depending on the size of the piece. Each piece is made from stoneware clay and either thrown on a potter's wheel or hand built, individually hand painted or decorated, hand glazed and fired in a kiln twice. The stoneware pottery is then dishwater safe (top shelf) and can withstand moderately low oven heat but should not be subjected to extreme temperature changes. All work is handmade and should be handled with care.
As each piece is made entirely by hand there will be unique variations in shape and finish. Over time and use the glaze may change in appearance and may craze or mark if metal or similar implements are used or may become stained by certain foods. This is natural and only serves to enhance a well loved piece.
